Opened in 1843, Tivoli is the third oldest amusement park in the world. It is right between Copenhagen Central Station and the city hall.

Tivoli is closed in winter and reopened in April. Besides the rides, there is a food court, gardens, theaters, and concerts. It is great to sit on a chair and enjoy the view.

Ticket

You have to buy the entrance ticket to get into the garden. You can access everywhere except the rides in the garden.

In order to enjoy the rides, a ride ticket is a must. You can choose to pay for each ride or buy the pass. The prices for each ride vary. The most expensive ride is the roller coaster, which costs 90 DKK per ride. On the other hand, the pass, which provides unlimited access to the rides, is also an option.

Travel Suggestions and Tips

  1. There are concerts on Friday nights. The tickets may be slightly different from other days.
  2. Must ride The Star Flyer! It shows you the 360° view of Copenhagen.
  3. If you want to enjoy the night view of Tivoli, pay attention to the sunset time. It is almost impossible in the summer.
  4. No need to prepare the cash. The stores and rides accept credit cards.
  5. Half-day is enough for Tivoli
  6. Recommended schedule:
    - Enter the garden in the afternoon
    - Enjoy the rides and take pictures
    - Have dinner at Tivoli Food Court (fair prices compared with other food courts )
    - Enjoy the night view or the Friday concert
